I trained with Body Control Pilates in London in 2008. I decided to become a teacher when l saw the benefits that Pilates did for me. It toned my body, strengthened my core and made me more flexible but importantly, made me body aware, therefore improved my posture.
Having two children and working at a computer, as a Freelance Designer for many years, and having gone through Breast Cancer treatment has put a lot of strain on my body and caused unwanted imbalances. Pilates helps me to re-balance, re-align and strengthen my body.
I love to challenge my body whilst practicing Pilates. l wanted to share my passion and knowledge of Pilates with others so that they can hopefully experience those challenges and benefits too.
I like to teach small classes as it allows me to have a 'hands on' approach with my clients and see how my clients bodies move. I believe it gives a more personal feel to the class. It enables me to really get to know my clients as-well as my clients getting to know each other, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
I get great satisfaction seeing my clients grow from strength to strength. My main goal, is to help my clients perfect and refine their technique so that they can too perform the Pilates exercises properly and gradually work towards the ultimate 'Classical Pilates' repertoire which is my favourite workout.
